We launched the new album and band at Cheltenham Folk Festival this weekend. I was thrilled to be joined by some good mates – Tom Kitching on fiddle from Pilgrims Way, Nick Cooke of Mawkin and Jim Moray’s Skulk Ensemble on melodeon and Tim Yates of The Albion Band/Blackbeard’s Tea Party on double bass. We had a whale of a time, and we’re looking forward to doing more as a band over the coming months. All the guys played on the record and it was great to be able to recreate some of the bigger arrangements. watch this space for news of the March tour – Tom will be joining me for much of that to add his signature fiddle sound to many of the sets. Hopefully I’ll be playing a club somewhere near you – but if not – get in touch and we will see what we can do in future!
The album is now available to pre-order – check out the shop page.
